The gem of Salo coastal area, the historical, vibrant and varied Mathildedal Ironworks village invites you to a lifelong adventure! A paddling trip in the archipelago to an island, where you stay overnight and sleep in forest hut and tents. The magical night-time sounds lull you to sleep. Sunrise wakes you up, you continue paddling, In the evening you stay overnight in a hotel and relax in the mini-spa (sauna and hot tube) by the seashore. Come and relax yourself in the nature!
Day 1: Arrival in Mathildedal. Arrival coffee. Paddling instruction. Sea paddling, approx. 5 km guided by the nature guide. Nature and the sea appear different when viewed from the kayak. Landing in the Isoholma island, where an outdoor dinner is prepared by open fire. Enjoy the sounds of the night, sleep in a forest hut or a tent. Listen to the sounds of nature.
Day 2: Breakfast by the campfire. Kayaks are pointed towards the Strömma channel to witness the tidal phenomenon.
Paddling 12 km guided by the tour guide. Landing in Mathildedal harbour, where a buffer lunch is served. Walking & hiking trip to Teijo National Park (5 km). In the evening, relaxion in the Marina sauna and hot tube by the seahore. Dinner
in the restaurant and accommodation in Mathilda’s Marina (rooms for two).
Day 3: Breakfast of local delicacies. Archipelago brunch during weekends in Mathilda’s Marina. Self-guided Ironworks village tour in Mathildedal - also known as the artisan village. Handmade delicacies in PetriS Chocolate room, locally
brewed craft beer, coffee from the village roastery and delicious fudge in the café. Visit the village baker, who makes artisan sourdough bread.
